AOC Aims for No 2 Spot in Monitor Market

 CRN Network, August 25 2009, 1700 hrs

Monitor brand AOC is aiming for the no. 2 spot in the Indian monitor market.

According to Saurabh Grover DGM, Sales and Marketing, AOC India, “We are now the no. 3 monitor brand in India, having retained this position for the last two quarters. As per IDC India’s Q1 2009 report, AOC had 19 percent market share which increased to 21 percent in Q2. Our aim is to further consolidate our market position to reach the second spot by the end of 2009.”

AOC has also announced the plan to launch its LCD TV brand called Muvic. “The first consignment is already out in the market and we are currently in the soft launch phase,” added Grover.

The company recently launched a series of channel and consumer schemes marking the beginning of the festive seasons with free gifts like TVs, microwaves, mobiles, etc.

AOC recently celebrated the 4th anniversary of its Indian subsidiary with a dealer meet in Kochi which was attended by more than 130 leading partners.

“Our aim for the next 12 months is to further  consolidate our sales volume and to achieve this we will constantly improve our distribution network, costing and pricing structure and also invest in increasing our service infrastructure in India,” concluded Grover.
