Intellisys Technologies has appointed Texonic Instruments as distributor for its IP-based video conferencing software in the Southern region. Last month, Intellisys appointed Delhi-based Park Electronik as its regional distributor for North.
Texonic has a large network of upto 1,000 dealers covering major cities like Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad. “We appointed Bangalore-based Texonic to cover the Southern region. They are focused and enjoy a similar profile to that of Park Electronics,” said S Chakraborty, CEO, Intellisys Technologies and Research.
Chakraborty added that three distributors were shortlisted for the Southern region, of which Texonic was finally selected. However, he declined to name the two other shortlisted distributors.
“Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad are the biggest markets for the product in South. We foresee major business coming from these cities as these are corporate locations. Orders from other locations would take time to come in,” said Sandeep Bhandari, Director, Texonic Instruments.
Texonic expects the new tie-up to contribute Rs 75 lakh to its revenue in the next quarter. Presently, Intellisys is in the process of finalizing a distributor for the Western region. “Under the next phase, we plan to select a distributor for the West by the end of August and one for the Eastern region by middle of September,” said Bhandari.
Intellisys had launched its video conferencing software, Vennfer in January this year, which offers 37-way simultaneous video conference locations from a single PC/laptop/mobile or any other display screen. It enables enterprise video conferencing between users from multi-point locations, right from board rooms and meeting rooms to desktops and mobiles.
Chakraborty said the distributor is being selected taking into account its logistics movement and background in building brand image for premium products. Park Electronik and Texonic Instruments have been selected as regional distributors as they are successful channels for Sony, Polycom and D-Link. Similarly, experienced distributors would be selected for other regions,” he added.
The company also plans to conduct roadshows in collaboration with distributors. Training would also be provided to sales partners for direct sales and other services. Intellisys is expecting the distributors to target verticals like telecommunications, education, government organizations, PSUs, defense, railways and the automobiles segment of the manufacturing sector.
“We would use the channel medium extensively to reach our customers. We are not planning to appoint a national distributor. But through an array of regional distributors, sub-distributors and resellers, we plan to build our credibility and increase market share,” said Chakraborty. |
