This year, Infotech Software Dealers Association (ISODA) has decided to make its annual Tech summit-‘TS9 Business Edition’ in Doha more lucrative and forward looking for its members. This year, summit will mark a beginning of exploring business climate between ISODA members, local Qatari IT companies and Indian IT companies in Doha. The association has taken a first of its kind initiative to host a joint business networking dinner, in partnership with The Indian Business and Professional Council (IBPC) on January 31st evening.
This session is scheduled to be inaugurated by His Excellency P Kumaran, Indian Ambassador to Qatar and Dr R Seetharaman, CEO, Doha Bank, who will be the keynote speaker, in presence of other esteemed dignitaries.
The association intend to offer bouquet of business, trade expansion as well as mutual investment possibilities at the networking dinner. While there are vast opportunities for foreign investment and joint ventures, as Qatar has a very friendly, efficient and conducive investment environment. The meet is also expected to have representation from top executives of financial institutions.
Speaking to CRN, K Gunasegharan, Director, eCaps and President ISODA expressed confidence on greater collaboration in the fields of ICT. He said, “At ISODA we are enthusiastically looking forward to explore the India-Doha trade and investment relations in this meet. The future cooperation between the two countries would aim at promotion of peace and stimulating greater investment through IBPC. ISODA would focus on increasing business with local Qatari companies and forge joint partnership to take business relations to newer heights.”
Explaining the reason for holding this networking dinner on the sidelines of ISODA Tech summit, L Ashok, Chairman, TS9 – Business edition and Founder and CEO of Futurenet Technologies, stated, “Doha is the most happening place in the business and ICT sectors in the country, with a string of world technology giants setting up their R&D centers, incubation wings and production bases, taking advantage of the state’s proactive polices. Qatar is fast catching up as the nerve center for embedded technology with proliferation of high-end electronics units springing up.”
Billed as first step taken by ISODA team, this year’s summit will have several new facets keeping in view the focus laid by the government to usher in a digital revolution in the country. “The two-day summit will enable the ISODA members to diversify to new and emerging global markets and also assess the changing trend in the global market place and adapt to situations to be in the traction,” added N K Mehta, Chairman, ISODA, and CEO of Secure Network Solutions.
Keeping in tune with the focus laid by the government of Doha for promoting startups in the digital domain, we encourage both Indian and Qatari companies to familiarize themselves with the requirements of the foreign buyers. This move will help ISODA members could attract buyers and investors by participating in the networking dinner.
With more than 85 confirmed delegates, ISODA is looking for successful TS9 Business Edition. This session will provide a platform for ISodians to network with 10-12 Qatari IT companies and 30 plus Indian IT companies in Doha. Many more investment bankers are expected to present in this session to provide insights to Indian delegates on mutual trade exchange.
