Saket Kapur, Director, Green Vision talks about the company’s strength that lies around application development using open source technologies.

Green Vision started its IT solution provider journey in early 1990 under the name of ‘Computer Vision’. Printing, publishing, design, and drafting solutions were then focus area, having target market of publishers, printers, advertisement agencies, and architects. The company added system building to its portfolio in 1996 with own branded PCs and servers.

The company forayed into own designed and developed UTM GreenX networking solutions and Linux Mail Server solutions between 2004 and 2012. It is now concentrating on deploying its in-house developed ‘Vehicle Tracking’ application. This application is based on GNU Linux with response time of less than 10 minutes from over hundred thousand vehicles.

Business growth
Being a privately held company with no answerability to investors or stock market, Green Vision is concentrating on consistent growth of bottom line at the cost of top line.

“We are majorly focussing on our own software product on Vehicle Tracking with successful installations in Bihar Police PCR tracking and Coal India mining vehicle tracking. Besides, our major achievement has been the strategic tie up with China Com in Addis Ababa Ethiopia for the software implementations in their system integration projects in the African continent,” points out Kapur.

Over three decade s of IT journey, Green Vision has played a dynamic one step ahead role in braving market dynamics, perceiving change, and switching to more relevant and appropriate business realms.

“We are at the hub of the IT revolution in the Indian market with complete manufacturing and testing facilities and a dedicated team of support professionals. A network of re-sellers and advertising support gives the company high visibility and market reach,” asserts Kapur.

Best practices
The company believes that remaining ethical in all situations and taking full responsibility to deliver the committed solution will yield resutls in both short and long term. Besides, a solution provider’s success is always built on the foundation of satisfaction of existing customers.

“It is difficult to quantify the effort required to create a name to reckon with, however, it is painfully slow tread up the ladder. Conflux of 3 P’s – Pain, Persistence and Patience is the success mantra that should be religiously followed throughout the IT journey,” says Kapur.

However, pointing out the business challenges, Kapur highlights that the greatest challenge for a solution provider is getting a talented resource and retaining the talent in the organisation. Poaching of trained staff is an unavoidable risk.

Core strengths
From the solutions perspective, Green Vision’s core strength lies around application development using open source technologies.

Besides, the company is closely looking at digital technologies like IoT to expand its business. “We at Green Vision foresee seamless matching of our application with IoT feed and see huge potential around its implementation. We are already in advance dialogue with corporates scouting for manageable solutions around IoT,” adds Kapur.

He further states, “As a credible solution provider, we apprise and educate our customers with affordable, non gimmicky, and useful technologies under the digital domain. In this way, we are helping our customers in thier digital transformation journey.”

Moreover, the company has the certified technical prowess to diagnose, analyze and trouble shoot in the areas of network traffic, congestion solutions and conferencing. Today, it is suitably poised to access the evolving market needs in emerging high skill set specialized areas like system optimization, server integration, network consultancy, and storage solutions.

“We are an independent entity striving to making perfect match-making between the clients and IT solutions company for proof of concept prototyping, testing and software development, project/program management, software program verification, virtual business services and applications and certification and offer training in many business verticals,” points out Kapur.
