Nitin Aggarwal, CEO, Trifin Technologies talks about the company’s transformation from a distribution house to a leading solutions provider
Q. Briefly tell us about your journey as an IT solution provider?
Trifin is in the IT business for over 21 years with a focus on system integration. We started in 1996 with a retail outlet in Asia’s biggest IT hub, Nehru Place. This was a retail outlet focussed on selling Licensed Software along with hardware and peripheral products. We expanded in to main stream distribution and later in to corporate sales. Over a period time, we have diversified in various domains of enterprise wide solutions, implementation, and support services, besides catering to our strong base of reseller network spread across the country.
Q. What are some of the best practices that must be followed by a solutions provider?
The solutions provider has to understand the critical IT needs to their customer and has to provide a solution which fits best to customer needs and has to optimize the resources available within the organization. We must train and empower our customers to become self sufficient to manage various aspects of IT in order to ensure maximum uptime within the organization.
Q. How has been the growth of your firm in the last one year?
We have been consistent in our business turnover since the last two years. There is not significant growth but we are happy with our business performance as we are able to survive in these tough times.
We have formulated several business strategies aimed at driving the sales of latest technologies and in order to do so, we are closely working with the channel team of all the OEMs. We are investing both our time and money to mark our presence among customers as one of the leading system integrators who provide solutions on OEM’s offerings. With the support of the OEMs, today Trifin stand out as a technology-driven organization offering value-based solutions to customers.
Q. What are your key areas of expertise?
Our major focus has been in the NCR region and the customer focus is the SMB segment along with few large enterprise customers. Trifin is based in Delhi and partners with leading global manufacturers and developers of the most sophisticated products and solutions based on cutting edge technologies.
The OEMs with whom we closely work with include Microsoft, Adobe, Autodesk, McAfee, Symantec, Corel, EMC, NetApp, VMware, Cyberoam, Fortinet, Tally etc. Our focus is Storage, Backup, Security and Infrastructure products.
Trifin, as an organization, has a very strong team comprising personnel with the latest skill sets and certifications in sales, business development, and technical capabilities. Our team is technically equipped to implement solutions for both SMBs and complex customer environments like large enterprises.
Q. As a leading IT solution provider, how are you helping your customers in their digital transformation journey?
The business is been executed digitally today – starting from purchase orders to licenses to invoicing and payments. Everything is digitized and customers also have adopted and supported this change.
Q. What are some of your key challenges?
The biggest challenge is very low margin and delay in payments.
Q. What are your expectations from the vendors that you are working with?
Vendors need to support in building partner skillsets and they should remain loyal to partners. Vendors should have a long term strategy to work with partners and grow business with them.
